The Bible speaks of a small tribe in Israel that "understood the times" and knew "what Israel ought to do" and as a result was granted a position of leadership (1 Chronicles 12:32). God expects His people to seek earnestly for truth.

Our society-indeed, our world desperately needs competent, willing leaders. Christians, the very people, who know the Truth, should be most capable of filling this void. Unfortunately, Christians too often meekly accept the direction dictated by proponents of secular "religious" worldviews, ignoring God's call to "get wisdom, get understanding" (Proverbs 4:5). UNDERSTANDING THE TIMES is a significant effort to remedy this situation. Years of conscientious research have resulted in a scholarly text, which presents each worldview accurately and in the words of its proponents. By comparing and contrasting the well-documented premises of each worldview, ‘Understanding the Times’ highlights the internal inconsistencies and fatal assumptions of Marxism/Leninism, Secular Humanism, and the New Age movement and demonstrates the clarity, coherence, and truthfulness of the biblical Christian worldview.
